Ed Furnon wins longest horse race in world

Blue Mountains developer Ed Furnon has come equal first in the most gruelling horse race in the world, the Mongol Derby.

Two weeks ago, in Mongolia, in Central Asia, on August 15, 2017, he and Barry Armitage of South Africa crossed the line together at the finish.

The Mongol Derby is an equestrian endurance race over a course of 1,000 kms, through the Mongolian Steppe and is believed to be the world’s longest horse race.

Ed Furnon first made a name for himself in 2012 when he competed in the Modern Pentathlon at the Olympic Games in London.
