Two men accused of assaulting 2 security guards and woman in Orange

CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – Two men charged after allegedly bashing two security guards and a woman in the New South Wales Central West, will appear in court next month.

The two men, aged 22 and 61, and a boy, 17, were refused entry at a pub in Lord’s Place, Orange at about 1:00am on Sunday morning.

The three walked to a nearby taxi rank where it’s alleged they verbally abused two security guards.

Police have been told one of the security guards, a 30-year-old man, was punched and kicked before the second guard, a 24-year-old man, was also assaulted.

It is alleged a bystander a 49-year-old woman was pushed to the chest, causing her to fall to the ground and hit her head.

The two security guards were taken to Orange Base Hospital for treatment to minor injuries, while the woman remains in hospital with a non-life threatening head injury.

Officers attached to Central West Police District attended and arrested the two men on Molong Road.

The older man, 61, was granted conditional bail to appear at Orange Local Court on Monday 21 September 2020.

The younger man, 22, was granted conditional bail to appear before Orange Local Court on Monday 7 September 2020.
