Police investigating shooting death of child in Blacktown

SYDNEY, Australia – Shocking news overnight. A 3 year-old girl has been shot dead at a house in Lalor Park in Blacktown, 35 kilometres west of Sydney.
Emergency services were called to the home just after 8 o’clock on Sunday night where they found the girl with a fatal gunshot wound to her neck.
Police officers and detectives from Quakers Hill are still at the home as they investigate the circumstances of the child’s death.
It is the second child tragedy for the Lalor Park and Blacktown community in a fortnight. Eleven days ago, 7-year old Julian Cadman, a year 2 student at St Bernadette’s Primary School in Lalor Park, on holiday with his family in Spain, was killed in the Barcelona terrorist attack.
