One man dead, another arrested after violent night in Parkes

A 25-year old man has been arrested in the Central West following the stabbing of a 50-year old man on Tuesday night.
The man was taken into custody by officers from the Central West Police District after which he was taken to the Parkes Police Station where he was charged with murder. He was refused bail and was scheduled to appear in the Parkes Court on Wednesday.
The arrest came shortly after police and emergency services swoopped on a home in Long Street, Trundle, a small town of 700 people in the Parkes Shire. There they found the 50-year olld man with stab wounds. He was treated by paramedics however he died at the scene.
Police said the two men were known to each other. They say the stabbing is being treated as a domestic-related incident.
