Motorcyclist killed Saturday afternoon east of Mudgee

CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – A motorcyclist has been killed in a tragic incident east of Mudgee.
About 3:00pm on Saturday afternoon, the motorbike and its rider, a 72-year old man, was located off the roadway on Bylong Valley Way, Growee.
The man had come off his bike and collided with boulders.
He suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Westmead Hospital, where he died shortly after 6pm.
Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District are investigating the incident.
Investigators are particularly interested in speaking to approximately five unknown motorcyclists who were in the vicinity at the time of the incident.
