Memorial Service for Dr Judy White

A memorial service for Dr Judy White was held on Friday afternoon at the Hoskins Memorial Uniting Church in Lithgow.
Dr White, who has been described as one of Lithgow’s great citizens by Stephen Lesslie, the Mayor of Lithgow, was a Councillor on the Lithgow City Council for fourteen years from 1977 to 1991. She also served as Deputy Mayor from 1985 to 1988.
“However she was much better known as one of the great doctors Lithgow has had and for her unstinting community work,” Mayor Lesslie said.
Dr White passed away on Thursday August 10 2017 at the Lithgow District Hospital. She was aged 93.
As a tribute, the flag at Lithgow Council was lowered to half-mast when the news of her death was received.
