SPRINGWOOD, Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia – A man with a medical condition who went missing from the NSW Blue Mountains on late Thursday afternoon has been found.
The 33-year old man had been reported missing from his home in Springwood, where he was last seen around 5:30pm on Thursday.
Officers from the Blue Mountains Police Area Command launched a search for the man, as his family had raised concerns about his medical condition.
About 7:30pm on Friday night he was located at Albury, on the Victorian border in southern New South Wales.
“Police would like to thank the community and media for their assistance,” a statement from the Blue Mountains police issued on Saturday morning said.
It is not known whether police will issue a breach notice against the man. As a resident of the Blue Mountains, he was under strict stay-at-home orders and yet has travelled to another part of the state, one that is not subject to the stay-at-home directive.
