Man shot Thursday afternoon in Penrith

PENRITH, Western Sydney, NSW, Australia – A man is in Westmead Hospital with gunshot wounds after being shot in Penrith mid-afternoon on Thursday.
The man in his 30s was described as being in stable condition.
About 3.20pm Thursday afternoon, emergency services were called to Barber Avenue in Penrith following reports that shots had been fired.
Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command attended the scene, with NSW Ambulance paramedics who treated the victim for gunshot wounds.
A crime scene has been established and Barber Avenue remains closed to vehicles as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
