Man appears in Bathurst court on manslaughter charge

BATHURST, Central West, NSW, Australia – A man appeared in Bathurst Local Court on Tuesday, formally charged with manslaughter.
The 35-year old man was arrested on Monday night, and refused bail, after allegedly being involved in an altercation with a 64-year old man at a unit block on Bonner Street, in the Bathurst subiurb of Kelso.
The alleged altercation between the two men took place around 5:00pm on Monday, When emergency services were alerted, they rushed to the scene where they found the 64-year old man unconscious.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Bathurst Hospital where he later died.
