Great Western Highway at Wentworth Falls closed after major crash

WENTWORTH FALLS, Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia – A car and a truck have collided on the Great Western Highway at Wentworth Falls, closing the highway in both directions.
The collision on Wednesday morning occurred just after 2:00am near Pritchard Street, Wentworth Falls. The driver of the car, the only occupant, was killed in the crash. The truck driver was uninjured but was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Traffic diversions are in place at Station Street heading west and Sinclair Crescent heading east.
This diversion is not suitable for heavy vehicles, which are being urged to use Bells Line of Road.
There is also heavy fog, so motorists are asked to exercise caution.
