CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – A 37-year old woman was arrested in the New South Wales Central West on Wednesday and charged with accessory to murder.
The woman was arrested around 7:40am Wednesday morning and taken to Parkes Police Station where she was charged. She was refused bail and detained.
She later on Wednesday appeared before the Parkes Local Court.
Police allege the woman was an accessory to a murder committed in Parkes earlier this year in May.
On 6 May 2020 at around 4:00pm police were called to a home in Best Street, Parkes after concerns were raised about the welfare of the 74-year old man who lived there.
When the police arrived they found the man’s body.
Investigators attached to Central West Police District established Strike Force Makoro to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
A 31-year-old man was arrested at the house about 11:00pm on the same day the body was discovered (6 May 2020). He was refused bail and is being detained ahead of a reappearance at Parkes Local Court on Monday 21 September 2020.
