DUBBO, Central West, NSW, Australia – Police called to a home near Dubbo, in the state’s Central West on Wednesday night, were allegedly attacked by a 30-year old man at the home, leaving both officers with injuries.
The police were responding to a domestic disturbance when they were turned upon. The officers, attached to the Orana Mid-Western Police District had to call for back-up.
The attack occurred around 7:00pm on Wednesday night at a house in Narromine, 40 kilometres west of Dubbo.
The officers, a man and a woman, were treated at the scene by NSW paramedics. The male officer’s hand was significantly injured, police said in a statement, while the female officer sustained a possible concussion, lacerations and scratches.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
