19-year old youth dies in single-car crash near Mudgee

MUDGEE, NSW Central West, Australia – A teenager has died after the SUV he was driving left the road and hit a tree near Mudgee, in the New South Wales Central West.
The fatal single-vehicle crash occurred on Friday night at around 8:45pm on Lue Road, about five kilometres from Mudgee.
Other vehicles on the Lue Road at the time, when they came upon the crash site raised the alarm. Emergency services were on the scene soon after.
The driver and sole occupant of the SUV, a 19-year-old youth, died at the scene.
Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District established a crime scene and were assisted by members from NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Ambulance paramedics.
An investigation into the crash will now take place , following which a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
