CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – A motorbike rider has been killed after his collided with a ute about 5 kilometres north of Dubbo in the New South Wales Central West.
The fatal crash occurred around 5:15pm on Thursday afternoon on the Newell Highway.
Emergency services arrived on the scene oon after being alerted to the collision. They found the motorbike rider, a 68-year-old manin critical condition.He was rushed to Dubbo Hospital but passed away soon after his arrival.
Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District said they were told the man was riding north when he was thrown from his motorcycle at the intersection of Troy Bridge Road.
The rider then slid into the ute.
The driver of the ute was taken to Dubbo Hospital for mandatory testing.
