End of an era, Holden closes its doors today after 69 years

Today is the end of an era in Australia.

Today is the last day a car will be manufactured in this country.

Today Holden is closing its doors, 69 years after Bathurst-born Prime Minister Ben Chifley officially launched Holden’s first car, the FX in 1948.
