Woman killed in head-on collision between 4WD and truck near Mudgee

CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – A woman has been killed in a head-on collision between a 4WD and a small truck overnight in the New South Wales Central West.
The crash occurred on the Guntawang Road, Galambine, just north of Mudgee, just after 6:00pm Monday night.
When early responders arrived shortly after 6:00pm they found a woman seriously injured. She was a passenger in the 4WD.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated her however she died at the scene.
The driver of the 4WD, a man and a second passenger, a woman, were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The truck driver was not injured but was taken to Gulgong Hospital, just north of Galambine, for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established for forensic examination, with the assistance of the Bathurst Crash Investigation Unit.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for any witnesses or any motorists who were in the area at the time and may have dash cam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
