Two killed in Central West collision

Two people have been killed in a collision between a 4WD and a car in the Central West on Friday afternoon.
The crash occurred shortly before 3:00pm on the Mitchell Highway, about 25km east of Wellington.
The male 4WD driver, and the female driver of the car both died at the scene.
A male passenger, trapped inside the car, was freed by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Orange Hospital with serious injuries.
Police traffic authorities and forensic investigators closed off the highway in both directions as they completed an investigation into the crash.
