Two men stopped at a RBT site at 2am one day last week on the Northern Distributor in Orange got more than they bargained for.
Highway Patrol officers decided a search of the car, a Nissan Pulsar, was warranted.
What they found was a snap-lock back full of drugs believed to be ‘ice.’
The drugs were seized and are undergoing forensic examinations.
The driver, 39, and passenger, 37, were both arrested and taken to Orange Police Station.
“Those that use our highways to commit crime can expect to be intercepted, searched and arrested,” Acting Assistant Commissioner David Driver of the state’s Traffic and Highway Patrol said.
