Search underway for man who threatened Blaxland resident with a gun

BLAXLAND, Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia – Police in the Blue Mountains are looking for a man with a gun, following an incident in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police say around 1:10am on Saturday, a man was seen loitering on a property on Bowage Avenue, in Blaxland, in the Lower Blue Mountains.

When approached by a local resident the man allegedly produced a gun and aimed it at the resident, and threatened the resident.

The man then fled.

Police say the man is described as being of caucasian appearance, in his early 20's with blonde hair (long at the back), and wearing a white jumper and shorts.

He was last seen running towards Old Bathurst Road, Blaxland.

Police located and seized a blue bicycle (pictured) suspected of being used by the man.
