Police probing circumstances of Wallerawang crash that killed driver

LITHGOW, Central West, NSW, Australia – A report is being prepared for the Coroner following the fatal crash at Wallerawang late Sunday afternoon.

The single-vehicle crash, which occurred around 5:00pm Sunday, involved a man driving a Holden Commodore and towing a boat on the Great Western Highway at Wallerawang, 14 kilometres northwest of Lithgow. The Commodore and the boat jack-knifed resulting in the crash.

The only occupant in the car was the 65-year old driver, a man from Cowra. He died at the scene.

Officers from Chifley Police District attended and are handling the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
