ORANGE, Central West, NSW, Australia – A 26-year old man appeared before the Orange Bail Court on Sunday where he was formally charged with murder.
The man turned himself in to Orange Police Station around 3:00pm on Saturday afternoon, where he was arrested.
The drama began to unfold just after 3:00am on Saturday morning when there was an altercation between two men at a house on Romano Drive, in Orange, in the state’s Central West.
When police arrived soon after the altercation they found a 20-year-old man unresponsive with a stab wound to his chest.
Police performed CPR on the man, however, when NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived, he was declared dead at the scene.
A second man fled the area in a Holden Commodore before officers arrived. A search was underway for him until he turned himself in.
Officers from Central West Police District, with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, are conducting an investigation.
