One of our Junior School Star Award winners for October is Daniel Rose from Wallerawang Public School
Daniel Rose is a Year 6 student at Wallerawang Public School. Daniel is completing his final year of primary school and he is working well beyond stage expectations, especially in mathematics and science.
He is a willing participant in all school activities and he contributes positively within our school each day. Daniel has demonstrated extraordinary effort, ability and success in the following areas: academic competitions, public speaking, extension learning opportunities, sport and other extra-curricular activities, all of which deserve recognition.
Daniel has participated in all of the academic competitions offered to him by the school since he was in Year 4. Some of his achievements have included distinctions in the University of NSW Science, Digital Technologies and Spelling and English competitions.
He has also received a distinction in the Australian Mathematics Competition and both a distinction and high distinction in the Newcastle Permanent Mathematics Competition.
Daniel is an outstanding school citizen and his achievements throughout the year have been nothing short of impressive
