Missing Katoomba boy found safe and well

KATOOMBA, Blue Mountains NSW, Australia – A 13-year old boy who had been missing since he left his home in Katoomba on Monday, has been found safe and well.
Blue Mountains Police District officers conducted an extensive search of the area where he went missing, and this extended to Sydney where it was understood the boy may have been in the company of another boy who had gone missing at Wyoming on the Central Coast, also on Mon day. However the other boy was found earlier in the week, and police established that the pair had not been together.
The family of the missing Blue Mountains boy contacted police on Friday afternoon to advise them the boy had returned home.
Police issued a statement on Friday afternoon thanking the public and the media.
