Man stabbed to death in Penrith on Saturday night

A 31-year old man could faces murder charges after he was arrested and taken to Penrith Police station on Saturday night.
The man’s arrest followed the death of a man at St Clair, part of the Penrith LGA, earlier in the night.
Police and other emergency services were called to Dutch Place, St Clair, around 6:40 on Saturday night where they found a man suffering multiple stab wounds.
The man, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.
Police say witnesses told them two men were involved in an argument. After one of the men was stabbed, the other fled the scene.
Officers from Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene, in advance of a forensic examination.
The man arrested was in custody less than two hours after police began their investigations.
Inquiries are continuing.
