Man shot dead in Central West home

CENTRAL WEST, NSW – A man has been shot dead on a property in the New South Wales Central West.
Around 10:50am on Tuesday, police and emergency services were called to a property on Catombal Road, Eurimbla, about 50km south of Wellington, after reports a man had been shot.
Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended and located the body of a 60-year-old man inside the home. He had suffered a gun shot wound to the head.
An investigation is underway, and a crime scene was established, which is being examined by specialist forensic officers.
Local detectives and the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad have established Strike Force Kerrison to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
