Man in Molong, near Orange, was making his own money

ORANGE, Central West, NSW, Australia – A counterfeiting operation  in the Central West has been smashed and a man arrested.

Officers from Central West Police District commenced investigations after receiving information into a counterfeiting operation within the Central West area.

On Wednesday officers executed a search warrant at a home in Molong, 36 kilometres north west of Orange.

On Thursday the officers said they located and seized a number of items, including drugs, ammunition, counterfeit money, counterfeit manufacturing items, prescription pads, and prohibited drugs, as well as goods reported as being stolen in burglaries in Orange from 11 August last year up until Thursday of this week.

Following inquiries, about 3:00pm on Wednesday, a 32-year-old man attended Orange Police Station where he was arrested. He appeared in Orange Local Court on Thursday.
