Lithgow City Council locals called on for input into future of city

LITHGOW, Central West, NSW, Australia – Locals who live in the Lithgow City Council area which includes the towns and villages of Ben Bullen, Bowenfels, Capertee, Clarence, Cullen Bullen, Dargan, Glen Alice, Glen Davis, Hampton, Hartley, Hartley Vale, Hillcrest, Lithgow, Little Hartley, Marrangaroo, Meadow Flat, Newnes, Portland, Rydal, Sodwalls, Tarana, and Wallerawang, are being called on for their input into the future of the city.

The council has prepared and agreed on a draft 2019/20  Operational Plan and has drawn up a schedule of proposed fees and charges.

Locals can access the draft plan and schedule, and check out the activities or what is planned for their area, the capital works planned, and proposed new initiatives by clicking here.

Hard copies of the documents can be accessed at the Council Administration Centre and the Lithgow, Wallerawang and Portland Libraries.

Council will also have a Community Information Stand in Cook Street Plaza on Tuesday 14 May between 11.30am and 2.30pm to answer any questions locals may have.  (In case of bad weather, the session will be held in the Council Chambers,  at 180 Mort Street, Lithgow).

The Draft 2019/20 Operational Plan and Schedule of Fees & Charges will be on exhibition until midnight, Monday 27 May. Following this, all submissions will be reviewed and reported at the June meeting of Council for consideration.
