Central West police say driver was carrying 1kg of cannabis

A man appeared in Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday on charges of possession and supply of prohibited drugs.
The man, aged 47, had been driving a Suzuki Ignis on the Golden Highway at Dubbo on Tuesday night.
Around 10:10pm he was called on to stop by officers from the Orana Mid-Western Target Action Group.
In a subsequent search of his vehicle, police allegedly found a large quantity of cannabis.
The package, which weighed nearly a kilogram, was seized and taken for forensic analysis.
The man was taken to Dubbo Police Station, where he was formerly charged and refused bail.
