Central West police on look-out for man who staged armed robbery

CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – Police in the Central West are looking for a man who staged an armed robbery in Mudgee, the state’s Central West, on Tuesday.

The man is described as being 170cm tall, and of small-medium build.

He was wearing dark long pants and jacket and was wearing a mask.

Police are appealing for public assistance in their efforts to locate the man.

A police statement said at about 5:10am Tuesday, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District were called to a business at the intersection of Market Street and Cox Street, Mudgee, following reports of an armed robbery. Police were told the man armed with a firearm had entered the store before threatening the employee and fleeing the location. No one was physically injured.

Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the robbery.
