CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – A man will appear in a Central West court next week charged with driving a garbage truck while being four times over the legal limit.

The 40-year old man was pulled over by police around 5:00pm on Saturday after reports a man who appeared to be well-affected by alcohol had been seen driving a garbage truck around Mudgee.

Officers from Orana Mid Western Police District apprehended the man on Horatio Street, Mudgee. He was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Mudgee Police Station, where he allegedly returned a breath analysis reading of 0.196%.

The 40-year-old Wentworth Point man was had his licence was suspended and he was ordered to appear at Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday week (18 December 2019).
