Brutal home invasion, man hospitalised with gunshot wound

ORANGE, Central West, NSW, Australia – An horrifi attack occurred in the Cenrtal West in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Shortly before 3:30am Tuesday, four men armed with shotguns and a machete forced their way into a home in Wellington.
The occupant of the home, a 37-year old man was apparently seriously assaulted, struck with the machete and then shot in the groin.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Orange Base Hospital, where he underwent surgery, and is now in a stable condition.
A crime scene has been established at the home and detectives from Orana Mid Western Police District have an investigation underway.
