53-year old man dead after lightning strike in Central West

DUBBO, Central West, NSW, Australia – A man has been killed by lighting in the New South Wales Central West.
The tragedy occurred near Dubbo, just after two o’clock on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a recreational ground on Comobella Road, in Geurie, which is located 29 kilometres southeast of Dubbo, after reports a 53-year-old man had been struck by lightning.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and assessed the man, but he died at the scene.
Detectives from Orana Mid Western Police District are investigating the incident and will provide a report for the Coroner.
